Weekend Catch Up (on Wednesday)

September 11, 2013

Eh…better late than never, right?! Winking smile

Last weekend was a blast:

…because we had visitors!  My sister, my brother-in-law Kevin, and their kids Sophie and Dylan came into town to visit us.  I’ve mentioned how much we love having guests in the past, and it’s even more true now with Lila—it’s so much fun to see her with her little cousins.  There was lots of family love going on this weekend:

Love it.  Lila was following Sophie around like a little shadow all weekend.

On Sunday night, after a weekend of indulging, we made an easy, healthy dinner:

…of stewed okra and tomatoes, topped with shrimp.  Can’t get much more southern than that!  The okra was given to us from a friend who was going out of town, and it was straight from her neighbor’s garden—it was so good!

Well, that’s about it.  Things have been a little hectic around here—the semester is definitely in full-swing.  Is it fall break yet?!?

Have a great Wednesday!

Oh I love it! My brother just got married 6 months ago and I hope they have kids soon so Trey has cousins! (I should mention that they dated 7 years before tying the knot so having kids super fast would not be out of the question) 🙂

What a lovely weekend! We had my little sister in town last week and it was lovely. I can’t wait till she has her own kids so we can have cousin time! Your okra and shimp looks delicious too. Thank you for sharing it all!
