Scenes from a Morning Run
I haven’t updated you about my half marathon training lately, but it’s going well! Strength training fell by the wayside this week, but I’ve signed up for a yoga class that will start on Saturday, so at least there’s that!
As far the running goes…things are going well! I ran 4 miles on Sunday, almost 5 miles on Tuesday, and then a little over 8 yesterday. Yesterday morning, I finally bit the bullet and forced myself to wake up early—6:20 that is, which isn’t *that* early, but sure feels like it when you’re used to waking up around 7.
But, the plus side was that I was out the door at 6:40, taking in these views:
…and then I was home by 8. Not too shabby! It was definitely (not surprisingly) a LOT cooler—I even wore a long-sleeved shirt! Getting up for early morning longer runs is going to be key until it cools down a bit more here.
Anyway, that’s about it on the training front. My sister and her husband and kids are coming to visit us this weekend—SO excited! I’m off to teach this morning, getting a haircut this afternoon, and then they get in around 5. Yay for family visits!
Hope you have a great weekend!
