Fun in the Sun

July 18, 2013

Well, the first few days we were here were kind of a mix of sun, clouds, and rain…but yesterday was officially full-fledged SUN!

We took advantage of it by hanging out in the pool all morning:

…which Lila is a huge fan of.  Smile

After lunch and long naps, the girls settled in for a movie with Honey:

…while my sister, brother-in-law and I headed out for a run.  A HOT run.   Word to the wise: running at 4pm in Florida in July is a bad idea.

Luckily, we have a back bay to cool off in behind the house:

…which the girls LOVE.  This bay has been great because the real ocean is still pretty rough for them, especially Lila.  They can splash and play in this bay all day without taking in mass amounts of salt water or being swept out to sea. Winking smile

After we finally dragged ourselves out of the water and got clean, a pasta dinner with grilled veggies was enjoyed:

…followed by more birthday cake and a game of catch-phrase.  A perfect vacation day, all in all!

There’s talk of going to a “Mom and Tot” free-style NIA dance class this morning…so *that* should be interesting.  Winking smile

Have a great day!

That pool looks awesome! It’s been in the high 90s and super humid up in PA. Also… Sophia looks like quite the young lady!
