Carrot Garland: Easter Craft
Hi friends! Today is our first day of spring break!
<cheers> <cheers> <cheers>
We’re hanging out in Shreveport this week. My sister is due to give birth—well, TODAY, actually! Today is her due date, but no sign of the baby yet—I’m hoping that we get to meet him by the end of this week!
I wanted to get this post up in time for Easter:
We’re having a little family birthday party for Lila at the end of this week, even though her actual birthday isn’t until April 7th. Since it’s going to be so close to Easter anyway, we figured we could just make the party bunny-themed—pretty easy, right?
I got the idea for this carrot garland after seeing a few different examples on Pinterest. Perfect for a bunny-themed party…or just for Easter.
I picked out a cute orange fabric:
…and used a simple carrot pattern to cut out the fabric shapes:
…then sewed the carrots together and stuffed them with a little bit of craft stuffing:
For the “leaves,” I used wired ribbon, which made the leaves really easy to shape:
Then, after putting the leaves into the carrot, I secured them with a ribbon:
…which I wound around the top, tucking the ends under.
To make the garland, I just picked out lacey, crocheted border ribbon, and secured the carrots with plant wire:
Ready to hang, and perfect for a bunny birthday!
Hope you have a great Monday!
