Greetings From Nantucket (again)!
I know I’ve been a blogging slacker lately, but one of my absolute favorite parts of having a blog is being able to look back on some of the trips we’ve taken over the past few years and relive the memories of our crazy dinner in Croatia…or eating gelato in Venice…or our first trip to Nantucket, two summers ago.
Before we left for this trip, I had so much fun looking back on the pictures from that first trip, two years ago. It’s crazy to me how much has changed since then—we’ve moved from Pennsylvania to Alabama, started new jobs…and, oh yeah, had a baby!
Lila is the same age now that Sophie was two years ago on our trip:
…and I can’t believe that in two years, she’ll be as grown-up as Sophie is now:
Time needs to slow down!
I’m going to try to blog regularly while we’re here, so that two years from now, I can look back on these blog entries and remember all the details of our first vacation with Lila…like her first time swimming:
Not a success. But she’s loving the cool ocean air and warm days and chilly nights:
And she’s loving spending more time with cousin Sophie (although Sophie was less than thrilled with this new development):
She even did well on the plane ride over…of course, the healthy dose of infant Tylenol that we gave her might have had something to do with that. She slept through the entire trip. Is it wrong to drug your child? If it means that she does this for a trip from Alabama to Massachusetts:
…then I don’t want to be right.
Yesterday, we spent the day swimming, and riding bikes, and taking long walks with Lila in the Ergo. Gotta love vacation.
Hope you have a great Fourth of July!!
