Woodpeckin’ Weekend

March 19, 2012

Sorry for the lame title.  But look who we made friends with this weekend:

He’s a trouble-maker.

Other than bird-watching, our weekend included TONS of time outside—spring has officially sprung here, and the weather has been GORGEOUS!

On Saturday, we took the dogs on a walk to a nearby park where all of the trees are in bloom:

I had some trouble getting the dogs to look at the camera:

They were far more interested in the ducks and the fish in the pond.  Oh well.

It seemed like everyone in Huntsville was out and about.  There were tons of little kids there, feeding the ducks and running around.  We’re excited about bringing Lila here—the park is only about a mile from our house!

This weekend also involved lots of grilling for dinner—burgers on Friday night, and kebabs on Sunday.

Finally! I can photograph our food after 4pm and not have to worry about lighting!

Naturally-lighted dinner pictures and multiple meals from the grill are a sure sign that spring is here.  🙂

Hope you had a great weekend, and a great start to your Monday!

Gorgeous pictures that really capture spring. So glad you had great weather. It was mostly good here, some overcast periods, but loving the temps regardless.

Your baby bump is so perfect – you barely look pregnant aside from it! We had kabobs on the grill in Boston last night too — such a nice change of pace!
