My Wife Went to the Bahamas and All I Got Was This Lousy Blog Post

June 28, 2011

Hey Baby!

I hope you’re having fun in the Bahamas. I can’t wait to join you on Friday. For now, though, I’ve been getting a lot of work done. With you gone, there aren’t a lot of distractions in the house:

I’ve also been eating healthy. Just the other day, Casey and I went to one of Altoona’s most established Health Food Restaurants:

This Is the Place!

It’s so great to eat at a place that doesn’t serve a lot of processed, artificial food! The owners could tell us the exact farm where all the ingredients came from. I left knowing I was treating my body right.

All through the week, I’ve been eating lots of fruits and vegetables with every meal, including corn:

Onions:

Potatoes:

Tomatoes (Heirloom):

Grapes:

And More Corn (It’s in Season):

The house is in great shape! It’s as clean as the day you left:

And to top it all off, I’ve been doing the dishes every night:

But even though things are going well here, I miss you so much. I can’t wait to see you again. Plus, we can indulge in one of our favorite Harbour Island traditions: riding in a stolen boat and getting in a shoot out with the police after evading the law for years during our plane stealing, vacation house robbing mega-spree. Good times.

Just know that I love you, and you’re the only girl for me. I would never dream of inviting another woman into our bed while you’re away:

Hugs and Kisses,

Ryan

Amazing! This is *so* what happens when I go out of town (note to self: when you go away and tell your husband to polish off the veggies in the CSA, expect that none of it will be eaten when you return!)

Ok, but here’s my question: who’s the mystery photographer who snapped Ryan canoodling with his sweet lady friend? Something smells a little fishy, and it’s not that pile of laundry. At least I hope it’s not that pile of laundry.

It must have been his girlfriend 🙂

Elyssa, if Ella and I hire a photographer to tastefully capture some of our intimate moments, that’s no one’s concern but ours.

🙂 Hmm, did Baxter learn to use the camera? That’s talent! Loved the post!

Too cute! Anna you’ll have to give us a report of what your house really looks like when you get home! I have a feeling this post pretty much sums up the shenanigans that go on at home while I’m away 😉 and the results when I get home can be pretty scary!!

  20. June 28, 2011 7:20 pm

    hahhahahahhaha. Thats awesome

  21. June 28, 2011 8:04 pm

Haha, too funny! Sounds like my hubby’s diet when he’s traveling. 😛

  22. June 28, 2011 9:19 pm

EPIC POST!!!! I love it and I “clean the dishes” the same way (before putting in the dishwasher of course!)

  23. June 28, 2011 11:26 pm

HAHA love it! And love that he (you) are so into comics, too!

  24. June 29, 2011 1:43 am

I love it! I’ll totally support the grapes in his diet 🙂 I give my dog any dish with peanut butter on it before it goes into the dishwasher. I hate rinsing off the thick peanut butter and he loves eating it. Win-win!

Holy crap, this was insanely funny. Nice work.
