A Broken Record

June 13, 2011

Sometimes, I’ll admit it—I can sound like a broken record.  Like when I’m talking to Ryan:

“Ryan, rub my back.”

“Baxter pooped on the floor again.”

RYAN, did you hear me?  Rub my back! Also, Baxter pooped on the floor again.”

“No, I don’t want to watch Smallville.”

No, you can’t call me Nathaniel.”

…and to my students:

No, you can’t turn the paper in late.  It was due two days ago.”

No, you can’t turn the paper in late.  I told you that a week ago.”

NO.  Just…NO, okay?”

…and even to you, dear readers.  Because I know that I’ve sung the praises of humnut sauce multiple times in the last week alone…but I just can’t stop!!

This weekend, I enjoyed mine over sauteed kale, kelp noodles, and veggies:

Some things are just worth repeating.

Some things are just worth repeating.

Sorry. That joke was Ryan’s idea.

Sooooooo…tomorrow, we’re headed to Huntsville! This is my first time to visit as an adult…I spent one glorious week at Space Camp as a youth.  I expect this visit to be just as life-changing and to end with a picture slideshow set to Elton John’s “Rocket Man,” just like last time.

See you from the Rocket City!!

Ha! I think my husband would say the same thing about me with the repeating. Or “nagging” as he likes to say 😉

I ask Jason to rub my back all the time. And then when I he does, I tell him he’s doing it too hard.

    Enjoy your trip!

I had a student literally hold out his pinky, and offer me a solemn “Pinky Promise”, that he “didn’t have time” to do his homework last week. So I feel your pain. 🙂

Ha. I guess that’s why no one says repitition is the spice of life. I haven’t heard of kelp noodles. Thanks for enlightening me!

You got to go to SpaceCamp, too?! I’ve always been jealous of Jon because he did. I got a tease with a one night field trip in the 4th grade (when I lived in AL) and have always wanted to go back.
    Have fun! Safe travels!
