Why I Don’t Bake

September 8, 2010

Because I just ate three of these:

The good news?  Even with light butter, these pumpkin chocolate chip bars are freakin’ delicious.

The bad news?  I just had to unbutton my jeans.  Time for the stretchy pants, my friends.  Time for the stretchy pants.

    LOL! Rock those stretchy pants!

    And give the rest away!

(That is what I have to do – I have the same “problem”)

I will twiddle my thumbs while I patiently wait for this recipe. I already wear stretchy pants 24/7 so I’m golden. Go maternity wear! LOL

Hehe, you sound like Paula Deen with your talk of stretchy pants! πŸ˜‰ Like Tina mentioned, that’s a big plus about maternity clothes!! πŸ˜‰ Those bars look very worth any unbuttoning! πŸ˜‰

Glad they still worked with light butter! I have had a few baking mishaps thanks to good ole light butter. I usually stick with the full fat stuff! πŸ™‚

I know EXACTLY what you mean.. last october my roommate made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies; I had like 5 every night. I would shut myself in my room and force myself not to think about those cookies but of course I’d get up and get another! if she makes them again this year I am demanding that she only make half the amount

I am literally laughing out loud! I LOVE to bake but I’m a single girl so I have to either take one piece and give the rest away or may 1/4 of a recipe and that is not always a success!!

That’s so funny– I just finished one of hers yesterday too– Island of Lost Girls. I didn’t like it as much as her other two, but it was still a pretty good read!
