Hello From Seattle!

August 19, 2010

Hey guys!  Yesterday, we travelled allllll day long.  Luckily I had the 10 pound September Vogue to entertain me.  🙂

Around 6:00, we finally arrived in Seattle!  Ryan’s dad picked us up from SeaTac and whisked us home, where Thai food was waiting.  We enjoyed dinner with Ryan’s parents, his sister Lynette and her husband Don, and our little nephew Carson.  Carson is almost two…and will be a big brother later this year!

For dinner, I enjoyed some fresh summer rolls:

So good!  I also had some pad thai noodles and brown rice on the side:

And of course, dessert.

This was a white chocolate chip lime cookie.

Ryan’s mom is a family and consumer science teacher (aka, home ec), and she is an AWESOME baker.  We always eat tons of cookies and baked goods when we come home to visit.  🙂

I just got back from a great four mile run down on a nature trail by their house.  The temps are really cool here, which made the run really pleasant—I felt like I was flying through the miles, and barely even broke a sweat.  After my run, we swung by Starbucks for a soy latte, and now we’re about to get showered up for the day.

We’re meeting up with my BFF Mary Margaret later on today, which I’m really excited about.  We also need to swing by U Village, a super swanky outdoor shopping center, to pick up a present for the wedding we’re going to on Saturday.  U Village has Crate and Barrel….but they also have Anthropologie, J.crew, and Lululemon.  Something tells me we might be getting more than a wedding gift!

See you later, alligators!

Have a great time, and tell Lynn and Patti hello! Enjoy the good weather, also. We are DYING down here – 100+ degrees for too many days to count! Also tell Mary Margaret hey for us! (That Thai food looks delicious, as do that cookies)

I remember. And, we played that fun card game – haven’t played it since. We need to get together again!

Great eats and jealous of the cool running temps. 😛 Can’t wait to see what you get into shopping, I could get into a lot of trouble at those shops.
