Quit Yer Yappin’

July 14, 2010

Hey guys! Thanks for the tips earlier on eliminating blur from my pictures in low light.  I’ll have to try some of the different settings on my camera…and maybe get a new lens?

Today has been all around lazy.  Well, actually, that’s not completely true—my mom and I went out for a four mile walk earlier this morning.  But other than that, we’ve been lazy bums.  🙂

I blame this:

…which I started last night, and am now fifty pages from finishing.  It’s great to read on Nantucket—spooky and suspenseful!  A page-turner, for sure.

Lunch was less thrilling:

Whole wheat pita stuffed with veggies, cheddar, and hummus, plus some Cape Cod parmesan potato chips (love) and a nectarine on the side. For dessert, there may or may not have been Lindt chocolate.

I’ve been reading on a blanket out in the yard all afternoon, but now that my shorts tan is sufficiently ridiculous (seriously…you should see this bad boy), I think Ryan and I are going to take the dogs on a beach walk.

At five, we’re going to a Yappy Hour at the Cisco brewery—it’s a benefit for the Nantucket Humane Society! I’m so mad that we didn’t bring Baxter’s tux.

You think I’m kidding?

Sadly, when we were packing for this trip, it didn’t occur to us that Baxter might need his tuxedo.  Oh well.  Something tells me this event isn’t black tie anyway.

I’ll definitely be taking pictures, though. 🙂

Hope you’re having a great day!

Well, if Baxter gives you the evil eye all night, you can just tell him that next time, he can bring his own suitcase. Have fun!

Haha Yappy Hour, I love it 🙂 My shorts tan was actually pointed out to me several times the last time I was at the beach. Because clearly I could have missed the fact that my legs are two different races. Hope you’re having fun at the happy hour!

My college roommate had this awesome fat cat named Lily that we would always pose in this tiny top hat that we bought her. And by pose I mean look at us like we were killing her while we snapped picture after picture.
