Gonna Make You Sweat

June 24, 2010

This afternoon, Eric began our session by telling me that he was going to make me sweat.

Oh, like C&C Music Factory?” I replied.

Blank stare.

Everybody Dance Now?”

Blank stare.

Never mind.”

I have a feeling some of you might at least appreciate my C&C reference…any fans out there?

I used to LOVE them.  My friend Ann had their cassette, and we would listen to it all the time.  Ahh, the nineties.

Anyway, though he disappointed me with his failure to recognize one of the greatest bands of all time (or 1990, but whatever), Eric did NOT disappoint in his promise to make me sweat.

HOLY COW.

This guy is intense.  I was d-r-i-p-p-i-n-g sweat during our session.  At one point I called him an asshole, and he laughed and said he would take that as a compliment.  We’re hitting it off already.

By the time we got home, it was almost 6 and I was ready for some dinner!  We decided to keep it simple tonight with BIG salads.  Ryan brought back some fun dips from a Greek restaurant he and Steve visited in Pittsburgh earlier today, so we had some yummy toppings for our salad: olive hummus and baba ghanoush.  Yum!

Mmmmmm…this hit the spot.  I also had an ice cream sandwich and a small piece of a sesame dessert that Ryan brought back as well.

Well, we’re going to take the dogs for a walk and maybe play some cards.  I feel like it should be bed time…but it’s only seven o’clock!  Doh!

See you tomorrow!

You know, giant muscley guys aren’t really my type (I’m obviously more into the nerdy type), but if I were into that, I think I’d think he was attractive. Does that make sense?

I love that song! I played it loud while Dad and I were having our coffee; then I asked him if he wanted me to replay it and he said “Please don’t do it!” Funny!! I’m so glad you’re getting back into your poetry, and I’m also glad you like your trainer – you’ll enjoy that!

There’s a restaurant in NYC that makes a huge Greek salad with hummus and babaghanouj. They definitely make incredible salad toppers!!
