Home Again, Home Again

June 20, 2010

Jiggity Jig!

Hey guys! Sorry for the disappearing act—we got back on Friday evening, but we’ve been pulling our life back together for the past two days—picking up the dogs, restocking the fridge, joining a new gym (!)…oh, and today, we decided on a lark to paint our living room.  I think I already need another vacation! We’re almost halfway through right now—we have the primer done, and are going to do one coat tonight, one coat tomorrow.  I’ll post before and after pictures!

I promise I’ll get back into the swing of the blog world starting tomorrow, I promise!

Hope you’re having a great Father’s Day! Happy Father’s Day to all the proud papas out there…especially to my own father, who is a ladies man:

…and a rock star:

weddinghoneymoon 187

He played the guitar for a special wedding hootenanny at our wedding!

He also played the closing song of the ceremony (“Somewhere Over the Rainbow”)…after walking me (crying) down the aisle, of course!

Love you, Dad!

Back to blogging tomorrow!

Coming back from vacations can be stressful! It takes me, like you, a good few days to get in the swing, especially if I decide to impromptu paint 😉 I LOVE that song, and love even more that your dad played it at your wedding! Aw! The picture is gorgeous!

Anna: I’m going to open a nice chianti and spend a lot of time looking at your last post–the scenery, the food, the opera. We love opera! To see one in Florence would be amazing. Thanks for sharing!
