Dinner and a Movie

May 11, 2010

Hey guys!

Hope you’ve had a good day…at least Monday is over, right?

This afternoon, we took the dogs for a nice walk, and then headed to the movies around 5:30.  We saw Greenberg, and I really liked it! It was dark humor, to be sure, but I thought it was pretty funny in a black-humor, funny observations kind of way.  It was one of those movies that wavered between humor and discomfort…kind of like an extended episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.  Ben Stiller was great in the movie—very different from many of the more goofy roles he’s taken on in his more recent films.

After dinner, instead of sushi, which was kind of far away, we headed to a restaurant that was closer (and always a favorite): Olive Street Bistro.  Olive Street has a great porch for dining al fresco, which was great tonight!

We started with some fresh flat bread:

…and then continued with Caesar salad:

…and finally shared two pizzas for our entrees—one was plain cheese, and one was veggie-filled.

Mmmmm…Olive Street Bistro pizzas have the most delicious wood-fired thin crusts!  Yum!

Great meal!  We’re currently curled up on the couch watching I Love You Man—I LOVE this movie.

See you tomorrow!
