Ryan was out of town for four days over the weekend—the longest I’ve ever stayed with Lila on my own (and without any help from a sitter, too!). Honestly, I was kind of dreading it…but it ended up being fun! Girlfriend has been throwing some MAJOR fits lately—like, throw your body on the floor, convulse, and scream at the top of your lungs for ten minutes fits.
I was worried that Ryan might come home to discover that Lila had mysteriously disappeared. And then we’d have to go on Nancy Grace, and—well, who wants that?
Luckily, despite all my worries, Lila was actually pretty great. Minimum fits—maybe she knew that it was in her best interest to go light on the tantrums, lest she end up in a car trunk. We spent most of our time wearing tutus, talking about tutus, and dressing the pets in tutus:
Even though the weekend went okay, I sure was happy to see Ryan when he got home on Monday night. All you single mamas out there, I applaud you. Taking care of a kid on your own is no joke.
We enjoyed a nice family dinner last night: corn salad (fresh corn, black beans, tomatoes, red bell pepper, and cilantro, dressed with lime juice and olive oil), chicken, and kale.
I tried to get a cute family pic:
…but Lila was way more interested in eating her food:
…which is good, I guess.
Not sure what today holds—hope you have a great day!
