A Misteak

Hello, weekend-lovers! How’s it going?

We’re off to a good one over here.  Yesterday, we went out to the new house so that I could show Ryan some new paint colors (yeah, I know) that I tried out earlier in the week:

I actually think that smoky purple *might* be the color we go with.  It works well with the green, and it’s purple, but it isn’t too “in your face” about it. 

We’re going with a slightly lighter green in the living room:

I was at the house around 5:00, and the green we’d picked out was pretty dark, so I think we’re going to go with the lighter color (the long stretch along the bottom).

We also looked at bedroom colors for our bedroom, which we are still TOTALLY lost on:

These four are all *close*, but no cigar.

Lila had fun in her new room:

I think she likes the color that I picked out for her.    It’s kind of a robin’s egg, Tiffany blue.

We had fun playing in the backyard and soaking up the sun before we headed home:

Can’t wait until all our trees are in bloom!  I think our yard is going to be really pretty!

Dinner was, as you might guess by my title, a mistake.   We stopped at Earth Fare yesterday and picked up some nice steaks to grill for dinner, since the weather was so nice.  Steak always *sounds* good to me.  But, more often than not, when I actually sit down to eat it, I just feel kind of…grossed out.  I guess maybe that’s the old vegetarian in me.  It’s just not something I really like eating…but again, it always SOUNDS good!

Anyway, Ryan grilled up these lovely steaks:

…and then I ate about four bites of mine.  Sigh.  Oh well…Ryan will eat it in his lunches, and one day I’ll learn that I’m just not a red meat kind of gal.  You better believe I demolished that potato though.

This morning, we had a relaxing breakfast, and then Lila showed off some of her mad walking skills:

She’s gotten really steady and fast!  It’s pretty awesome, but terrifying at the same time.

Well, we just got back from the gym, and Lila is napping.  Hope you have a great Saturday!
