Dog Days of Winter

Hi friends! Monday’s over with…so at least there’s that. 

As I’ve stated many (many) times, Monday is my long day, but I always find that it goes by a little faster (and more happily) if we take the time to do something kind of fun during the afternoon in between my classes.

So yesterday, we did just that, and paid a visit to Huntsville’s botanical gardens.  The gardens turn a part of their property into a dog park during the months of January and February—the dog days of winter.   

Ella and Baxter had a great time running and playing with the other dogs:

…and Lila, who seems to get a kick out of ALL dogs, was having fun too:

It was nice to get a break in the day and get some fresh air.  I feel like getting outside in some way, shape, or form is almost ALWAYS a good idea!

When I got home from teaching, there was a quick, easy potato, red pepper, and goat cheese frittata waiting for me in the oven:

Yum!
