Hi friends! Sorry for the break in posting—things got pretty busy here this week! It’s been the last round of workshop in my poetry class at UAH, and on top of that, today I helped out with the Alabama high school area participants in Poetry Out Loud, a national poetry recitation contest. I helped students workshop their original poems today—it was a lot of work, but actually really fun!
In addition to everything that’s been going on here, we’re taking a quick trip to Shreveport tomorrow—in on Saturday and out on Sunday—to attend a friend’s wedding shower.
This is all to say…I probably won’t be posting this weekend! I hope you have a great one, and I’ll see you on Monday!!
ps—to make up for my lack of posting, I thought I’d try to win your affection back with some entertaining photos of our dogs in costumes through the years. Don’t act like it’s not working. No one can resist a dog dressed as a cow.
Their first Halloween together: gettin’ down on the farm:
Then came the hot dog and the squirrel (those things go together like peas and carrots. Or hot dogs and squirrels):
Devil and angel:
A lovely bride and groom:
(We shot these photos on campus and ran into one of my students in the process. Nothing says “authority figure” like dressing your pets up in costume.)
And finally, the canine gondoliers:
If this is what we do with our dogs, can you imagine what we’re going to do to our kid? Seriously.
