Go Fish
Hi friends! I’m glad you all enjoyed Ryan’s guest post. He is indeed a funny guy—it’s like I’m married to Jim Carrey. If Jim Carrey were also a rhetoric professor with a closeted Smallville habit who asked me yesterday on the phone, “Teva’s are nice sandals, right?”
Oh yes, they’re very nice. I think at Bergdorf’s they display the Manolos, Louboutins, and Tevas together.
Anyway.
We’ve been pretty busy here…reading, beach-walking, swimming. A tough life, I know.
Actually, my mom, Sophie and I have been taking it easy, but yesterday, my dad and my sister did work pretty hard—they went out to catch our dinner! They came back from a three hour fishing trip (a three hour tour?) with grouper, trigger fish, and a big snapper—which we promptly threw on the grill for dinner:
My mom also made these delicious stuffed tomatoes—a dish that goes way back. She actually learned the recipe for this dish in a cooking class that she took back in college at LSU! Talk about a recipe with staying power! The tomatoes were stuffed with buttered bread cubes, celery, bell pepper, green onions, mushrooms, garlic, and tomato pulp, all topped with parmesan cheese:
So good.
For dessert, we enjoyed slices of chocolate pie. And speaking of which, guess who really liked that chocolate filling?
I’ll give you three guesses, and the first two don’t count.
Happy Hump Day, friends!

Oh my goodness… that picture of her is priceless.
I think Ryan and Jason are two peas in a pod. He has this collection of loud Hawaiian shirts and I actually had to hide them (he still hasn’t realized this) so he wouldn’t pack them on our Mexico trip!
That picture of Sophie is amazing!!!
Ok Sophie is destined to be a model. She is SUCH a beautiful child!!
And I love chocolate pie but she looks like she loves it more
Anna, this is my first time visiting. Hope you’re having a great time in the Bahamas! The post your husband wrote was hysterical, and I especially like his version of doing the dishes!!
Gorgeous little girl, and those eyes…
I look forward to more posts!
Hi Lynne,
Thanks for visiting and commenting!! I look forward to checking out your blog as well!
Those eyes! What a cutie!
So, Teva’s are good sandals?
I guess I should just be glad he’s not packing the jean shorts…that I know of.
She has so much hair! She is still the cutest little muffin on the planet.
Just brag brag brag
Glad someone is getting to enjoy the beach at least!
She is the CUTEST! Those tomatoes look delicious!!!!
I’m pretty sure I’ve said this before, but her eyes are gorgeous!
That dinner looks amazing.
The Tevas…sounds like something my hubby would say.
And what a beautiful little girl!! She could be a model for sure.
Isn’t that what you’re supposed to look like when you eat chocolate pie? Sounds like you’re having some nice visiting time with the ladies! Enjoy the rest of your day Anna!
Sophie is adorable and the stuffed tomatoes look divine!
