Take a Hike
Hey guys! Thanks for all of your input on the dinner situation last night—it was interesting hearing your thoughts about it!
This morning, I woke up early, around 6:20, and hopped out of bed. I tend to wake up about an hour earlier in the summer…I guess my body is just ready to go, after a long winter of hibernation!
I wrote for a few hours, and then we hit the road for a fun little day trip!
Ryan and I leashed up the dogs and headed to Trough Creek State Park, which is about an hour away from us. This was our first time hiking around this particular park, and we were impressed! The trails weren’t very long, but they were pretty challenging—lots of hills! The entire park is right by one of the largest lakes in the area, Raystown Lake, so there were lots of pretty streams, waterfalls, and swimming holes!
Here are some highlights from our hike:
I love taking little trips like this—one of the great things about Altoona is that there are tons of parks, hiking trails, and cute little towns nearby, all just waiting to be explored.
Sorry to be boring, but for lunch, we simply stopped at Subway. I got the usual: veggies with cheese + Baked Lays. Lazy, but good!
Hope your Friday is going well—it feels positively like summer outside, so I’m about to soak up some more sun!
See ya!

What a beautiful day for a hike! I love the photos. I can feel summer just by looking at them!

I can’t WAIT to go hiking this summer.
Great photos, what a fun day and cute shots of you. I’m looking forward to more hiking here.
What a fun day, that place looks gorgeous!
YAY nature. I really want some onion- I’m out and yours looks so fresh. I wake up way early on my own too (esp in summer). Your body’s rhythm is set to the rise and set of the sun so it’s healthy. 6:20 is a little early for a hike though!
