Spring Fever
Hey guys! Happy Friday!
I don’t know about you, but when spring rolls around like it has this week, I can’t get ENOUGH outdoors time! I am loving every minute of it…especially since we’re going back up to Pennsylvania on Sunday, where spring has not rolled around quite yet.
Last night, Katherine and Kevin called us around 8:30 and told us that they were going to try handling Sophie on their own for one more night, so no baby (nighttime) duty for us! We went over at 8:00 this morning to watch her for a while as they got ready for their first doctor’s appointment with her. It was pretty uneventful—she slept in my arms the whole time! They said that she did MUCH better last night, and was on a three hour schedule! Go Sophie!
It’s funny—when they decided that they didn’t need us, I was kind of relieved (I’m a girl who loves her sleep), but Ryan said, “You know, I’m kind of disappointed that we didn’t get to go over there and have baby duty all night!” Maybe he’s more ready than I am for a baby?!?
This morning, we walked over to their house (about a mile) and then ran back. Ryan stopped at that point, but I picked up my i-pod and kept going for about another 2.5 miles. It felt great to be out in the sun…although it was pretty windy! Whatever—I’ll take it!
For lunch today, we stopped at a local restaurant called Counter Culture. They have THE BEST yogurt. Tart and sweet, kind of like all of the popular places that are popping up everywhere across the US, but Counter Culture has been in business for years and years. They were ahead of their time, I guess!
For lunch, I got a “baby” yogurt with strawberries and pineapple:
Yes, that is the smallest size they offer. Imagine what a large looks like!
Plus an avocado sandwich: avocado, cheddar cheese, sprouts, and lettuce. So simple, but so good!
I think my mom and I are going to get mani/pedi’s in a bit, and then we’re going out for a nice dinner tonight! Hope you’re having a great Friday!

I’ve been to the Counter Culture in Ruston and it was AWESOME.
